WCSA: Prices remain stable this week / Spot prices are unchanged for the week / Most competitive offers coming from China, but mixed opinions on delivery time

In key Latin American markets, spot polypropylene CFR price levels for homopolymer or copolymer grades remained unchanged in the week ending August 14. Fundamentals remained unchanged. Spot homopolymer was $1,150/mt CFR West Coast South America in line with most repeatable levels heard for China origin material. Prices were within a range of $1,110-1,225/mt, taking into account feedback that prices had been stable over the past week. Spot copolymer grade remained at $1200/mt within the range of offers heard this week between $1,150 and $1300/mt. Sources say that copolymer has a plus of $40-$50/mt compared to homopolymer. According to a trader in China, they have maintained the homopolymer offer levels of $1,120-1,150/mt, and the copolymer offer levels of $1,150-1,170/mt from last week.
