WCSA: Prices are relatively stable this week / PP Copolymer Grade Rise $5/mt / Fewer Asia-origin PP availability

The market is high but relatively stable, said a Peru-based trader. A Chile-based producer shared offer prices for PPhomopolymer down to $1,280/mt as the previous levels at$1,320/mt were not accepted by buyers in the WCSA region. A Peru-based trader stated that the market was high, but stable. The previous prices of $1320/mt had not been accepted by the WCSA buyers. The US-based trader stated that it is difficult to make deals in the WCSA, where bidding levels are around $1.220-$1,230/mt. According to a Colombian-based source, prices have increased due to freights being as high at $9,000/FEU. Sources in China have reported that the cost of a bulk shipment to the WCSA is $150/mt. North Asia container rates to West CoastSouth America increased by $600/mt on the previous week, to $7,000/FEU....
