The Asian acetic acids prices fell in the week ending Sept. 12, due to the high production rates and ample supply in China. Vinyl acetate monomer prices were stable despite the low trading volume. East China AA prices were Yuan 50/mt less than the previous week, at about Yuan 2,850/mt. FOB China AA Cargoes bound for the Indian Market were offered on September 12 at $345-$350/mt. A trader stated that the price was close to production costs. "There's hardly any profit." The trading activity on the Asian VAM Market was abysmal in the week ending September 12.
