Acetic acid: Prices in India fell by $5/mt due to lower offers and lack of interest. This was despite lower offers being heard for cargoes loading Marchloading at $380/mt CIF India. A bid of $375/mt was heard for a laycan similar to that in question. A source said that market participants were adopting a wait and watch approach due to the low demand for acetic acids. The domestic ex-tank price at Kandla Port was Rupees 36/kg, which is stable from week to week. Another source said that the market fundamentals are weak and the demand is particularly low, with downstream customers running at reduced capacities.
