US acetic acids prices were unchanged in the week ending May 23. VAM prices, however, continued to fall. US Gulf Coast Acetic Acid at $750/mt F.O.B. USG, on May 23. This price is stable for the week pending confirmation. The market was quiet during the week, with stable fundamentals. Sources said that they hadn't heard about any price increases in US, despite concerns over supply in other regions. Domestic delivered prices were 34 cents/lb and remained stable over the past week. This reflects the stability of the export market. Despite some supply disruptions in Europe, market participants reported that there was no shortage due to the persistently low demand.
