US spot export PVC at $825/mt FAS Houston on July 3, down by $35 from June 26. This is in line with the range of $820-835/mt FAS Houston that has been heard. Export PVC prices increased 5% in June. They went from $820/mt to $860/mt towards the end of the month. Market participants had previously expected this upward trend to continue into July. Sources said, however, that the market was not receptive to July producer offers which were originally put out at $850 - $860/mt. Participants reported that, in accordance with this, the initial offers of $850-$860/mt were reduced to $820-835/mt. However, confirmations of acceptances for this new level have yet to be confirmed.
