USPP: The export price remains the same despite thin
trading- Demand low , outflows largely local- PGP prices down 4.75 Cents/lb during weekSpot US export polypropylene prices held
steady this week, compared to week March 22. Trades remained very thin due to
low demand and volatility in feedstock costs. Market participants were
away at an industry conference, so no new spot export price indicators were
made. On March 15, a notional spot price
indication for railcars was heard at 55-58 Cents/lb. Market feedback indicated
that this price point would be most practical if resin was intended for Mexico. According to market feedback, PP of Asian origin is still
more affordable and more plentiful. However,
one source said that PP is being sought by a producer to be sold to
