The purchase interest rate shifts from A to B-gradeThe
US price of post-use low density polyethylene A grade film bales dropped in the
week ending March 22. The price of A-grade bales fell by 3 cents per lb
over the past week. However, there is ample supply to satisfy slowly increasing
demand. Sources have indicated that domestic demand for film bales has
increased substantially despite the fact that export demand was predominant in
previous years. Sources predict that consumption will continue to rise in
the coming years. One seller said that another dynamic was a shift in
buyer interest from A-grade bales to B-grade bales.US
