US PVC price was stable for the week ended March 22, as market participants
considered new economic indicators and Asian prices. Participants in the
market noted that they pay close attention to Asia's prices. As there is
ample supply, a producer in the region said they will reduce prices by
$60-$70/mt. One US PVC producer said that prices in the USGC are stable
despite Asia's declines. A market source stated that the market was stable. We
were expecting a surge of demand in Q1. Although demand increased, it was
not as high as we expected. Another source said that there was little
extra capacity in case of a natural disaster or shutdown. Many market
participants expressed concern about the coming hurricane...
