According to sources on the market, US spot exports of polypropylene were flat for the day on August 14 and the entire week due to a weak demand. A source stated that no spot export trades or offers were made on this day. Prices were also not workable, the source added. On August 14, spot export copolymer was priced at a 2-cent higher than homopolymer, despite no indications to the contrary. First source: The US was not competitive in the export market because demand remained low, and it has some of most expensive monomer on the planet.
