US spot methyl methacrylate prices fell 11 cents on the week ended on Nov. 6, a drop of 10%, tracking demand heard stably low moving into the fourth quarter, according to market sources. US spot MMA at 99 cents/lb DDP USG on Nov. 6, down 11 cents on the day, coming toward the top of a spot pricing indication heard from 95-99 cents/lb DDP USG. Spot prices have fallen 29.7% from Aug. 6, as pricing through the first three quarters had been supported by unusually tight supply due to unplanned outages. Upstream, acetone contract prices were heard trending down, but no corresponding movement was heard to MMA contracts, a source said.
