US LLDPE: Spot Export Activity Thin as June Offers Dwindle / Metal locene prices down by a week / Supply is plentiful, but demand is slow

As June spot activity began slowing, the linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) export prices were stable or lower from June 13-18. Indications of railcar value for LLDPE Butene were heard in a range of 42-43 cents/lb. An indication for hexene was heard at the upper end of this range. Metallocene levels fell by $11 per mt, while butene and other grades remained stable. Sources reported that the metallocene grade was priced at $66/mt or a $3 cents/lb higher than butene. The supply of LLDPE grades in general is abundant. Demand from Latin America and other key regions has been sluggish.
