The US Monoethylene Glycol Spot Price remained unchanged in the week ending June 7. This was in line with the tradable level heard at $85/mt discount to the Asia spot rate that was assessed as $525/mt CFR China. Diethylene glycol spot levels fell by 1 cent in the same week and were below the selling ideas at 38 cents/lb USG. The assessment was above a range of tradable prices heard between 35-37 cents/lb, FOB USG. This is because supply has been tighter than usual due to low run rates of MEG. A trader stated that "liquidity [for DEG] was very limited." Supply is limited due to MEG run-rates, but demand remains weak. The trader stated that no DEG transactions were made as of 3pm on June 6.
