Spot pricing for US ethylene glycols was assessed stable on the week to Aug. 23, with an ongoing unplanned outage and the short-lived Canadian rail strike posing little to no effect on supply availability for US EG, according to market sources. US spot monoethylene glycol at 21 cents/lb FOB USG, stable on the week, in line with a trader's corroboration of value heard at that level. US spot diethylene glycol was also assessed stable on the week at 41 cents/lb FOB USG, based on corroborations of value heard at that level from a trader and a buyer.
