The US spot acrylonitrile price was stable in the week endingJune 11, despite market feedback that it had been a quiet week. US spot acrylonitrile was priced at $1,390/mt FOM USGulf in line with price confirmations at this level and stable market fundamentals. A source stated that the US spot AN markets are relatively quiet. Another source reported that the demand was stable. The source revealed that there was no immediate product available. The domestic ACN contract rate was assessed at 69.25 cents/lb, which is the same as the previous week. The assessment was based on a formula accepted by the industry, which took into account the 44.50cents/lb chemical-grade propylene settlement for May, and the ammonia contract prices of $450/mt in May.
