US Acrylates: Prices of GAA and acrylics are stable / Spots 2EHA and BA drop 3 cents in a week / GAA prices are stable by day and week

According to sources on the market, spot pricing for US 2-ethylhexyl-acrylate and Butyl-acrylate dropped 3 cents in the week ending Aug. 27 due to falling prices of oxoalcohol as a feedstock. A trader said that 2-ethylhexanol was "long" again, and that the 5-cent price increase announced for August "was not accepted by a large majority of consumers." Source: Due to falling export prices and weak demand for both exports and domestically, suppliers are willing sell 2EH below current levels. The trader stated that "they don't want announce the reduction, but they are willing to sell at a lower price."
