On Aug. 13, spot prices for US acrylates remained stable both on the day and the week due to limited activity and unchanged fundamentals. US spot glacial acrylate was 81 cents/lb, DDP USG. US spot butyl-acrylate was 90 cents/lb, DDP US East Coast. US spot 2-ethylhexyl-acrylate was 96 cents/lb, DDP US East Coast. US butyl-acrylate exports have risen since the end July. 4,711 mt of the chemical were shipped from the US Gulf Coast between July 29 and August 7. The data revealed that almost all the cargoes left the port of Deer Park, Texas. BA is the liquidest acrylate. It is primarily used in automotive and construction coatings.
