The Asian benzene price rose by $3.33/mt in one day, to $1.035/mt during the trading session on June 6. In the morning Asian benzene activity was brisk, and at least three trades were reported for laycan cargoes in August. The price discussions slowed down throughout the day, but overall the day saw a rise. A market source reported that "price discussions and buying attitudes for benzene were quite active today." In the macroeconomy crude oil futures rose in the midafternoon Asian trading on June 6, as investors took advantage of the recent selloff, which saw crude markets approaching oversold levels. Front-month ICE Brent futures are now at $78.92/b. This is up $1.24/b over the previous session. The naphtha market ended slightly higher. C+F Japan was up 25 cents/mt to $648/mt....
