Asian Toluene prices fall amid weak downstream demand / FOB Korea Marker falls $18/mt in a week / Weak TDP margins concern producers

FOB Korea toluene markdown was $11/mt at $904/mt on June 21. Several offers were made and a tender for July cargoes. During the MOC, July cargoes started at $912/mt and then gradually dropped to $905/mt. A bid of $890/mt was heard. A market source stated that the recent weakness in the market was due to benzene prices falling. No one wanted to run toluene at disproportionate levels. China markets saw a decline in prices as well. China domestic prices were reported to have dropped to Yuan 9,520/mt on H2 June cargoes. A trade was done at this level. Market sources estimate that east China's toluene stock decreased by 3,800 mt from the previous week to 33,300mt on 20th June. India's domestic prices remained low due to a weakening of demand...
