Asian Toluene prices trend softening to stability / South Korea-China FOB spread narrows / China inventory drops in the week

The trend of Asian toluene was stable to soft Dec. 20. The FOB Korea mark fell $6/mt from the previous day to $758/mt. This is $1/mt less than an offer of $759/mt heard for any-February 2,000 mt loading, on a letter of credit basis. The spread between FOB Korea and FOB China narrowed on December 20 from the previous day, to plus $28/mt. Market on Close did not allow for transparent offers or bids. Industry sources reported that China's toluene portside inventory fell in the week ending Dec. 20. Market sources reported that stocks in the East fell by 1,600mt, to 48,900mt, and those in the South were down by 1,900mt, to 9,300mt, from the previous weeks. Sources said that the domestic market weakened with lackluster offers heard all day....
