Asian Toluene prices rise due to stronger upstream / Upstream crude oil rise $1.22/b on day / China toluene imports increase 75.5% in a single month

The price of Asian toluene rose on November 22 due to higher prices upstream and a firmer aromatics market. FOB Korea was $718/mt, up $2/mt in one day. Recent reports indicate that the demand for toluene has been stable or even increasing due to increased gasoline blending. A market source said, "Gasoline blend demand is better. My crude oil suppliers told me that they will be out of stock until mid-December." Crude oil futures were up in Asian midafternoon trade on Nov. 22 amid rising supply concerns after Russia's recent warnings that it reserves its right to target nations supplying weapons for Ukraine and its deployment of a ballistic missile against Ukraine.
