During the Market on Close process, H1/H2 cargoes for July loading were initially offered at $942/mt before being gradually offered down to $923/mt. The current price is too high, considering the current market fundamentals. A market source said that the price was being corrected because the market was frozen. Chinese markets were quiet, with domestic prices in China remaining stable at Yuan 9,585/mt. South China's inventory was estimated to be 15,300 mt as of July 11, up from the 11,900 mt reported a week earlier. In India, ex-tank domestic prices are slowly decreasing with last discussions taking place around Rupees 87.50/kg in Kandla Port. This week, spot discussions for July shipment cargoes are ongoing.
