Asian Toluene: higher on firmer crude / Little spot discussions amid volatile crude futures move / China's inventory is mixed in the east and south ports

The price of Asian toluene was higher on Sept. 13 due to the firmer crude futures. Sources said that little spot discussion was heard due to volatile crude futures movement. Toluene was up $8/mt for the day, at $729/mt FBO Korea. It was also up $5/mt to $740/mt FBO China on Sept. 13. FOB Korea, October laycans were $729/mt. This was $1/mt less than the last offer of $730/mt heard for 2,000 mt. H2 Octoberloadings cargoes were assessed at $730/mt during the Market on Close process. During the MOC, there were no transparent offers or bids. On close, prompt ex-tank price firmed Yuan 10,220/mt up to Yuan 6,220/mt. This is equivalent to approximately $756.43/mt based on import parity. Sources said FOB China sales indications for October loading were around $750/mt....
