Asian Toluene: Firms in line with stronger crude futures / Active buying interest for South Korea-origin cargoes / Southeast Asia term discussions hamper spot deals

Asian toluene prices were firmer Nov. 29, in line with the general trend in petrochemical markets and upstream crude futures. the FOB Korea marker $5/mt firmer at $727/ mt FOB Korea, taking into consideration a bid reported at $726/ mt for 2,000-mt January-loading cargoes. No counter offer was heard and no deals were reported. After the Market on Close assessment process, another bid was heard up to $730/mt at around 5:45 pm Singapore time for 2,000 mt January-loading cargoes, sources said. On the supply front, Chinese toluene inventory levels were mixed at both ports in the week ending Nov. 29, industry sources said. In the east, stocks rose 8,400 mt to 47,100 mt Nov. 29, and in the South it fell by 700 mt from the previous week to 8,700...
