Sources said that Asian MTBE was down $16.50/mt week-on-week
at $962/mt FOB Singapore on March 31. The market closed the week on a calmer
note. Sources say
that the week began strong because of a few confirmed MTBE trades in the
market. According to sources, there were 35,000 mt spot volume traded from
China to the Straits this week for April and May loading. Sources say a 10,000-mt MTBE cargo was traded at $980/mt CFR
Singapore on March 30 for H1 May arrival. Another 5,000 mt cargo was traded at
