Thin trading ahead of May Day Holidays / South Korea exported 52,885 mt toluene from April 1-20

The price of Asian toluene fell on April 22 in line with the decline in crude futures, upstream naphtha prices and downstream benzene. Trading sources reported that South Korea had fewer spot cargoes available, and the majority of these were headed to the US Gulf. Sources said that South Korea exported 75,791 tonnes of toluene according to the preliminary data on imports and exports for April 1-20. Sources in the industry said that most of South Korea's exports were to the US, at 52,885mt. India and Saudi Arabia, however, took 18,146mt and 4,760mt respectively.
