TCI Sanmar reduced the operating rates of its chlor-alkali facility in Port Said. Sources in Egypt told a member of the team that "the plant has been operating at about 50% of its production capacity since January 2025." The cause of the production cut was not known. The chlor-alkali facility in Port Said is located in Egypt and has a capacity to produce caustic soda of 275,000 mt/year, as well as chlorine of 246,000mt/year.
