India Styrene monomer: CFR India prices drop on weak China values / Mixed Sentiment / Reduced Inventory Pressure with Re-exporting SM Cargoes

CFR India's styrene-monomer price is down $12.50/mt from the previous week to $1,115/mt. The discount for CFR China remains at $1/mt. CFR China's marker, which was down $12.50/mt for the week but up $13/mt the next day at $1,116/mt CFR China, July 26, maintained its $1/mt discount to CFR China. The styrene market was mixed during the week ended July 26. Sources said that inventory levels had dropped due to re-exports. However, current levels can be confirmed. Domestic prices were stable or firm between Rupees 96.50 and 98.50/kg, ex-Kandla, and Rupees100/kg, ex-Hazira. The market was affected by China's prices and volatile crude oil. Sellers indicated that they are less interested in selling cargoes to India due to the weak market. One seller said he had not looked at the markets...
