India Styrene monomer: CFR India prices rise on stronger adjacent markets / Brent rises $3.56/b in a single day / Rise in upstream benzene price

CFR India's marker increased by $43.5/mt in a week to $1136/mt, Oct. 4. This was due to the strengthening of adjacent markets as well as the upward trend in crude oil prices. CFR China styrene and FOB Korean markers were both $10/mt higher than the previous assessment on Oct. 4. Crude oil futures rose in the mid-afternoon Asian trading on October 4. The front-month December ICE Brent Futures rose $3.56/b in one day to $78.24/b by the close of Asian trade on Oct. 4. The price of benzene upstream also increased on the same day, following the increase in crude oil. The benzene FOB Korea mark is now $974.67/mt. This represents a $25.34/mt increase on the day. The premium for CFR China compared to CFR India remained unchanged at $14/mt...
