Styrene monomer CFR China & FOB Korea Markers at $1,063/mt & $1,053/mt respectively, January 31, both stable compared to the previous assessment, as the market was said to be quiet during the Lunar New Year holidays in Northeast Asia. Crude oil futures rose in mid-afternoon Asian trading on Jan. 31, as the market awaited further instructions from the Trump Administration on whether the 25% tariffs on Canada, Mexico and oil imports will be included. The ICE March Brent contract was higher by 32 cents/b (0.42%) than the previous close of $77.19/b at 3:27 PM Singapore time (727 GMT), while the NYMEX contract for March light sweet crude was higher by 51 cents/b (0.7%) than the previous $73.24/b close.
