Asian Styrene monomer: Prices fall following weaker Chinese futures / Apr futures fall Yuan 43/mt DOD / Source : Southeast Asian demand is stable or weakening

Styrene Monomer CFR China and FOB Korean markers were $1,046/mt and $1.046/mt respectively on Feb. 21. Both are down $5/mt since the previous assessment. This is due to the downward movement in the Chinese futures markets. Asian SM fell due to softer Chinese futures and slightly higher crude oil prices. The Dalian Commodities Exchange's April front-month contract EB2504 styrene monmer futures contract closed Yuan 43/mt less at Yuan 8,597/mt by the end of the afternoon session at 3pm Beijing time. Crude oil futures fell in afternoon Asian trade on February 21 due to reports from the US Energy Information Administration that the country had increased its crude stock.
