India Styrene monomer: Thin Trading amid Contract Discussions / Premiums for Dec-loading cargoes are likely to be higher / Traders eye contractual premium

Participants were mostly on the sideslines, discussing contracts for 2025. The November shipment cargoes are being discussed at a $6-$10/mt premium over CFR China. Indications for December shipment were more firm, as December cargoes will arrive in January. Contractual volumes have yet to be assigned and spot premiums are likely to increase in December. For December cargoes, offers were in the $10-$12/mt range over CFR China. Contract offers are in the range of CFR China plus 35-$40/mt. A market source stated that nothing had been converted. A trader reported that discussions were heard about a premium between $20 and $25/mt on 2025 contracts. The domestic prices in India increased slightly over the past week, to Rupees 95/kg at Kandla port and Rupees 99/kg at Hazira. This is a slight improvement....
