India Styrene Monomer: Prices rise on steady demand, firmer adjacent market / Domestic prices rise / Stable demand in India

The CFR India styrene market firmed slightly in the week to Nov. 22, following a price uptick in China over the same period. In a similar trend, the prices in the domestic Indian market also reflected an improvement over the previous week. The offer level at Kandla port was heard at around Rupee 96/kg, up Rupee 1/kg week on week. "There is some improvement in the spot market now and the current CFR India price level is remunerative," a trader said. Buoyed by stable demand and moderate inventory levels, trade participants indicated a price uptrend in coming days.
