India Styrene monomer: Prices remain stable as the market remains muted during Diwali celebrations / A thin discussion during Diwali holidays / ICE Brent crude front-month at $74.72/b

In the second half of the week ending Nov. 1, the Indian styrene market remained unchanged. Trading activity was low, with the majority of India being closed for Diwali holidays. Kandla and Mumbai were closed due to the Diwali festival. No import or domestic trading was heard and activity was low. Prices in India remained unchanged for the week at Rupees97/kg heard at Kandla Port. A trader in India said that the market was closed for the festival holidays, and there had been little change over the past week. The crude oil prices were also down, which led to a drop in benzene and, subsequently, styrene monmer prices.
