CFR India's styrene-monomer price is up $60/mt from the previous week to $1,175/mt. The premium over CFR China has increased by $30/mt. CFR China's marker fell $4/mt since the last assessment, to $1,145/mt on August 2. This was in line with the changes in domestic Chinese prices. In India, domestic discussions in India were firmer at Rupees 104-108/kg Ex-Kandla. One idea for buying was CFR China plus 25-$30/mt. Sources say that despite the softer market of recent weeks, it's difficult to find material at a price below CFR China plus 25-$30/mt. A trader stated that the Indian styrene markets are experiencing some supply support and sentiments are improving.
