Sources said that Asian toluene was stable or higher on April 15, due to tight fundamentals. Trading sources reported that supplies were low due to the fact that several South Korean plants are still under maintenance or closed. They added that they heard indications of selling China-origin cargoes at $970/mt on a FOB China basis. Sources said that about 10,000 mt toluene was sold from China to Singapore, but they could not confirm the destination, laycan or price. Some sources reported $970/mt while others thought it was too expensive. The blending demand, however, was strong.
