The US Gulf Coast methanol price was flat on June 3 at 98 cents/gal USG. This is the fourth day in a row that it has been stable. According to sources, the latest trades heard were done on May 22 following the Market on Close process. The prices for 10,000 barrels at 98 cents/gal FOB ITC and 99 cents/gal fob ITC. According to feedback from the market, 3,783 mt of methanol were traded in May. This is down from 16,396 in April. That's a drop by 76.92%. The spot trading was limited despite the planned turnaround of Natgasoline in Beaumont, Texas. According to the website, this joint venture between Proman and OCI has a methanol nameplate capacity of 1.7 mt/year. "Nothing on my part." Seems quiet," a market source said....
