Asian butadiene is stable from day to day,
May 4. Chinese
market participants returned to the Chinese market on May 4, after Labor Day
holiday. Trading activities were limited
due to the absence of Japanese market participants during Golden Week. Due to the butadiene plant turnaround, there were few
discussions on spot prices in Northeast Asia. A lack of buying interest was also evident as the outlook
for downstream markets remained negative. At
the close of Asian trading on May 4, July ICE Brent futures had fallen $0.94/b
from day to day, down to $73.11/b. CFR
Japan naphtha prices are stable at $583.50/mt on May 4. Data showed that the price difference between naphtha and
