South Asia PE prices fell in the week ending July 31 due to a weaker market, an adequate supply and a softer monsoon season demand. Sources reported that the overall PE supply was stable, with steady material inflows from domestic and international suppliers. According to a major Indian producer, domestic prices have weakened slightly due to stable availability of PE grades. According to sources, the supply of LLDPE films could become tighter over the next few days due to the fact that the current material is being consumed. They said that the current discussion seems to be waning and that buying indications have decreased.
