South Asia polyethylene price fell in the week ending August 7 due to a stable supply and soft demand. According to sources, fewer imports were made during the week due to a constant supply of domestic products at low prices. A supplier from abroad said that most of the deals for August were already closed and the new offers will likely take into account the lower prices in India, as the PE market is still weak. A trader stated that the deals could be concluded at lower prices in the days to come as the domestic prices continue their decline.
