Asian Solvent: Prices rise on week amid strong upstream markets

The price of Asian mixed solvent-grade xylene FOB Korea increased $8.71/mt in the past week to $916/mt. This was due to higher offers for July cargoes, and the firmer crude oil and naphtha prices upstream. Naphtha CIF Japan increased $15.50/mt in the past week to $718.88/mt. Toluene FOB Korea fell $24.50/mt to $879.50/mt, while isomer MX FOB Korea dropped $13/mt to $911/mt. Solvent-MX, unlike isomer MX and toluene is a relatively scarce commodity.
