India Solvent MX: Further softening on the backs of FOB Korea weakness / September CFR India discussion thin / Lower prices for domestic ex-Kandla

Rupee 2 kg Weak market sentiments continue to dominate the Indian market for solvent-mixed polyxylene. CFR India prices were assessed at $30/mt lower than the previous week, August 23, due to lower FOB Korean prices. CFR India was assessed as $849/mt, while FOB Korea was assessed as $764/mt. Sources said that September discussions in India were thin, despite the fact that inventory levels were reported to be fluctuating at 19,500 mt. This was attributed to the weak market fundamentals, and they discussed the possibility of a further decline in the market. Around 19,500 mt of inventory was heard ex Kandla.
