Asian Solvent MX prices fall on lower upstreamvalues / CPC sells June cargo / Naphtha prices down $33.75/mt in a week

Asian mixed-grade xylene dropped by $48.26/mt on the week, to $917/mt F.O.B. Korea on May 3, as upstream prices declined sharply. Offers for May and June loadings of FOB Korea solvent-MX cargoes were made in the market, but no trades were heard. In India, the domestic ex-tank price was lower than the previous week at Rupees 88 to 89/kg on May 3. This is due to a drop in crude oil prices and a slowdown in domestic demand. According to the most recent inventory data released on April 30, the mixed xylene stock at Kandla was 16,513 mt. This is a slight change from April 15, when it was 16,445mt.
