Asian Solvent MX: FOB Korea drops $12/mt in a week due to weaker xylene / Increased MX supplies from South Korea impact the market / Naphtha is almost stable

Isomer-MX fell $18.50/mt in a week Asian solvent grade mixed xylenes dropped $12/mt since Aug. 2, to $839/mt at FOB Korea on August 8, under pressure from lower prices for isomergrade mixed mixed xylenes and weak demand. The price of cargoes loaded between August and September was lowered to $840/mt, FOB Korea, without any indication that demand would be made. On August 8, Asian isomer grade mixed xylenes were $18.50/mt lower than on Aug. 2 due to lower upstream costs and reports of abundant MX supplies from South Korea after a fire at a PX plant there in late July.
