Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene CFR China and CFR Southeast Asia markers at $1,420/mt and $1,440/ mt on Oct. 16, both down $30/mt week on week. As producers cut their offers levels because of the dramatic drop in styrene prices, discussions on Asian ABS prices fell. "We tried to increase prices but it was difficult... The market confidence is low. Prices are now back to the levels of late September. Our order levels are down compared to the previous week because demand is weak.
