Upstream naphtha prices down $7/mt in a single day / SM Downstream Prices Drop $15/mt in One Day

The Asian benzene price fell during the session. FOB Korea and CFR China were at $1,051.67/mt apiece and $1,070.50/mt apiece April 22. This was down $14/mt et $13/mt respectively on the day. These prices followed the fall in upstream crude oil and downstream styrene monmer prices. The macroeconomy saw crude oil futures lower in the midafternoon Asian trading on April 22 as participants waited for fresh stimulus from China following the central bank's decision to leave its benchmark loan rates unchanged. The front-month ICE Brent contract closed $1.22/b down on the day, at $86.01/b. Meanwhile, the C+F Japan Naphtha benchmark ended $7/mt down at $690.625/mt. Also, the downstream styrene-monomer market was reported to be down. CFR China styrene and FOB Korean markers for April 22 were $1,166.50/mt apiece and $1,156.50/mt...
