Selling interest in the laycan back-end increases / NYMEX June RBOB increases 0.76 cents/gal in one day

Outright MTBE fell by 7.73 cents/gal (or $27.42/mt, or 2.72%) on April 24 due to strong demand for the back-end Laycan. The most competitive bid was reduced from May RBOB + 14 cents/gal down to May RBOB + 3.5 cents/gal. This was the offer that was still outstanding at the conclusion of the Market On Close assessment. BP purchased 25,000 barrels MTBE for delivery in May 05-09 from ATMI at a price of May RBOB + 5.5 cents/gal normalized to a June RBOB + 8.11 cents/gal.
