On the European Naphtha Market, there were
two outstanding bids and no offers on the 25th of May. This is the second
consecutive day that the Market on Close assessment had more bids than the
offers. The
mood has improved since the beginning of May 22. This is primarily due to a
stronger gasoline industry. Sources said
that HVN was trading at $100/mt more than open-spec naphtha. Blending demand
for heavier grades increased. The
sentiment in Asia also improved due to the increased demand for gasoline
blends, particularly as US stocks had dropped to historic lows. The CIF NWE front-month swap fell $16.75/mt in one day to
$601.25/mt. The June/July swap fell 25
cents/mt and was now $4.75/mt. July/August dropped 75 cents/mt down...
