India's PVC market: Prices stable as it awaits new October offers / Adjacent markets are stable / Sources expect India's future offers to be lower

PVC prices in India remained stable during the week ending September 18, as traders awaited new October offers, and the discussion level stayed the same. Sources said that fewer offers were made during the week, and new offers will be around $10/mt lower than current levels. One trader stated that the total PVC imports up to Sept. 10 had been around 40,000 mt. This is lower than general levels. He added that PVC demand was still moderate or soft. A major domestic producer kept their offer price around $810/mt based on import parity. The producer stated that a rise in demand was expected over the next few days, as the rainy seasons ends.
