Asian RPETS: Strengthening amid Higher Raw Material Costs / PET bale raw materials costs remain high in the region / Market pressure remains high due to competitive virgin PET prices

FOB Southeast Asia recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate prices varied in the week ending October 30 due to a stable demand, high feedstock prices, and competitive virgin materials prices. The week-over-week price of flakes remained unchanged, while the price of pellets rose due to higher feedstock prices. Sources on the market reported that there are ongoing discussions and deals for R-PET pellets and flakes with buyers in Asia. Select recyclers have reported higher freight costs in Europe and the Middle East. An Indonesian recycler stated that "local demand is poor, but inquiries are coming in from other parts of the world for RPET." R-PET pellet and flake offers are largely stable this week.
